Relationship Advice For Women—Don’t Wait for Love!

If there is only one piece of relationship advice for women that can be given today, it’s this: do not wait for the perfect man to come along.  Thanks to society and the media, many women today seem to have warped views of what love really is.  When we are young, sometimes we have the impression that true love will just fall into our laps.  You know what?  When we are young, sometimes this does happen…because when we are young we have no idea of what love really is.

As we grow older and we start to fathom the real meaning of love, and understand the sacrifices and the compromise that it requires, we discover that finding the real thing is a much more difficult task.  Despite knowing this, many women continue to wait.  They think that if they wait a little bit longer, that they will find someone they are compatible with and live happily ever after.  Maybe they are afraid, or maybe they are confused as to what they should do exactly.  However, this much is for certain: they are waiting in vain. 

The most important bit of relationship advice for women is that you cannot afford to wait.  You cannot afford to continue doing the same things (going to bars, falling for jerks, going back to exes) that never get you anywhere.  Instead, start thinking in terms of what can I do to find my perfect man?  Do not continue to harp on statements like “There are no good men left today” or “There are no good men where I live.”  These statements are nothing but excuses.  While you may be limited by location, you have the power to make a change in your life.  You can pursue someone online, perhaps someone that is your perfect match.

Pursuing love does not mean that you have to be aggressive or needy with your prospective dates.  It simply means that you are willing to connect and network with more people.  You can wait for the man to sweep you off your feet, if that’s your ideal fantasy.  However, when you start actively looking for quality prospects, you greatly increase your odds.

The best relationship advice for women is the type of advice that empowers women to look for love on their own, rather than waiting for something to happen.  Rejoice in this good news.  There are good men left out there.  You can find them.
