Relationship Advice For Women

What is the Best Relationship Advice For Women Today?

What is the best relationship advice for women today?  Courtship is one thing but having a real flesh and blood relationship with a man you like is quite another.  Right away, we realize that there is so much more to love than just the ideal partner.  A crush quickly changes after living in such close proximity to another person.  We either realize that we don’t love this person, or the love we thought we had grows even stronger.  That’s not to say that making a relationship last is easy!  It may be one of the most difficult things you ever accomplish in life.  That said, the end result of a happy marriage and family, will be well worth the effort.

When giving relationship advice for women, a counselor always starts the conversation in a positive light.  A relationship guru is always interested to know how you feel about a relationship and about your partner in general, before you get to specifics.  He or she can tell from the way you talk about your significant other.  Do you have many fond memories to share?  Is your relationship challenged by obstacles or is there a “problem” that cannot be solved?

The best relationship advice for women is to master the art of communication.  Communication between the sexes means everything in courtship.  If a man or woman cannot communicate their true feelings in an appealing way, the attraction level suffers.  When you progress to the point of a relationship, communication is still key—but it is a different kind of communication.  Now you should be less focused on appearances and prolonging romantic feelings, and more focused on making each other happy, and accomplishing your family goals together.

When one or both partners start to clam up friction develops.  Friction in a relationship can very easily turn into hostility.  As you know, there is only so much hostility that can tolerated in a relationship before someone heads for the door.  What are some tidbits of relationship advice for women?

Try discussing disagreements with your spouse in a calm spirit, hours after your frustration has peaked.  Everyone says that women are the emotional species, but men can become emotional too.  When we are angry, we tend say things that we regret.  This escalates this situation, and causes both partners to go into a defensive stance.

At the same time, both you and your man should be willing to compromise in a relationship.  A partnership is a union between two people and you are sharing each others lives, not just dating.  If you want your relationship to be saved, then talk to a relationship counselor.  It’s never too late to save something precious to your heart.
